and (in my experience) I'd say at least 90% of healthcare workers share my sentiments. Knowing that, I can't think of a single occasion where I've seen it effect someone's care. I deal with these people every single night and I just smile and treat them with way more respect than they deserve because it's my job to do so, but I don't have to like it. and as for "these people must have awesome lives", I'll posit that the majority of people on welfare would be better off if welfare never existed in the first place. perhaps then they wouldn't have grown up in welfare families and perhaps many of them would be better prepared to take responsibility for their own lives? Who should ultimately bear the responsibility for the quality of their lives? Finally according to google, Income taxes (personal, corporate, and SSI) make up 90% of US revenue. for state taxes I'd imagine it varies by state, but even then of the major taxes (property, income, and sales) welfare recipients are typically only paying one...
